Well so i have two computers in my house. When i download stuff on mine about 80% of the time it is curropted and doesnt work. When i download the same file on my other computer it works like a charm. Ive tried using firefox and internet explorer. I dont know whats wrong.

Hardware specs might help.

Could be a driver or LAN/Ethernet setting, possibly even a corrupt TCP program (DLL or whatever).

Well i use the onboard ethernet connection on my a8n-sli premium motherboard. I have a router connected to my dsl.
