Internet TV

I would like to connect a PC to my TV for internet streaming of TV shows. I was looking at HULU and other web sites.

Currently, I use Netflix with the Roku box and that is working out very well. I would like to go to the next level and use my PC for TV shows.

What kind of remote do you recommend to operate my PC to browse these web sites?

What is your experience with doing this? Is there a list of web sites that offer this fee service?

Just curious if anyone is actually doing this with success.

thanks

Media center remote will work with Hulu Desktop. Not sure about Netflix. Works great with Hulu and Vista Media Center.

Just use S-video if your hooking to a SDTV and HDMI or VGA if your hooking to a HDTV.

Make sure your video card, browser and flash is up to date.

Might have to adjust some size settings so it looks good on your TV and enjoy.

For streaming sites.....

YouTube XL: http://www.youtube.com/XL

Stumble Video: http://video.stumbleupon.com

Boxee: http://www.boxee.tv

Joost: http://www.joost.com/

IN2TV: http://television.aol.com/in2tv

TVU: http://www.tvunetworks.com/

FEARnet: http://www.fearnet.com

Music videos: http://www.launch.com & http://www.mtvmusic.com

How fast is your broadband? http://www.speedtest.net

Also Hulu Desktop I believe requires more internet speed than the Hulu site. Comparing the requirements of both.

I have a friend with 1.5mbps DSL and he wants to hook his laptop through S-video to his TV. Hope it looks good....

As for remotes....A wireless mouse works fine....Especially a laser mouse.

Otherwise....Get a remote that has a mouse like feature like ATI's remote wonder 2: http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/rw2/

Which is not being made. But find a remote that offers a thumb nub or stick or something to move the mouse pointer with ease. That would be allot easier than configuring a remote for sites.
