Internet traffic maps?

Does anything like this exist?
A ?map? which shows the major internet pipes, and then color codes them for packet loss, and show size by the visual size of the pipe on the map?

Huh?
I couldn't really get on the Internet this morning.
I was trying to figure out if it was my connection, or trouble out there.
It got me thinking that a graphical display in the form of a map would be pretty cool, and someone must have made one.
