Internet Telephone

Hey guys, do you know any cheap longdistance IP phone services for free or charge very litte ? Do they work good ? Clear ? Worth it ? I know of dialpad, but I was looking for something where I could hook my phone up to a card that you can install in your computer. Something that works as good as a normal telephone too.

I've seen boxes where each party buys one, and then it routes the call over the internet. Never used them, but it's supposed to be pretty good. They cost about $100/end and each person you're calling needs to have one. They may require a net connection as well.

I haven't seen them in a while though, so it's tough to say if they even exist anymore.

I would spend that much money if the quality was good, and no internet connection was required. I'm looking for PC 2 Phone type thing though.

I'm not sure of anything either but I'd be very interested if anyone knows of any software/hardware that may work well for this purpose.

You may wish to try the Software forum for this question also.

Actiontec has an "Internet Phone Wizard" (PCI card or USB versions), and U.S. Robotics has a similar product.
There's also a "Yap Phone", not sure who makes it. Using Net2Phone, calls can be made from PC to regular telephone.
