Internet sharing with one IP

Are there any problems with sharing an IP with two or more computers? What are some restrictions? Will ICQ, AIM allow to different accounts online with the same IP? Or what about online gaming? Thanks

I use a program called sygate, and it works with EVERYTHING i have tried, including icq, and aim, EXCEPT for starcraft.

Half-Life or any of its mods with the new netcode will work with one IP, but you have to add +clientport 2700x to your shortcut on the computer that does not have the IP sharing software. Be sure that that port is not blocked or closed on the software. Both people will not be able to play in the same game, however. AFAIK, UT works flawlessly.

There was a site called Tim Higgins that was an excellent networking resource, but they have changed addresses and I don't know the new one. Anyone know?

Do a search in the Networking forum if you need more info... There are tons of posts about this topic and how to setup sharing...
