i currently have my 2 computers networked with an old 5 port hub, how do i use 'internet sharing' with this setup? both computers have win98se and both have ethernet cards. i'm going to get cable soon and want to share it between the two.

do this on only one machine
start>settings>control panel>add/remove programs>windows setup>internet tools>click internet connection sharing

u are done...just make sure you have all protocols installed...tcpi/ip..ips/spx..netbuei

i believe the only way to do it is to have two ethernet cards in one computer. then you can do sharing on the one that goes to the cable modem, and the other card will still connect you to your internal network. this is the way i am doing it ...

You have 2 NICS in one machine. I configure one NIC with your IPS settings. ICS will then configure the other card to 192.168.0.1 You then set the other machine to use 192.168.0.2 for an IP, 255.255.255.0 Subnet, 192.168.0.1 Gateway, and 192.168.0.1 DNS server.

BTW you should go into the networking forums where there are a ton of threads with people asking the same question. Or use the search tool. Hint: search for the word "sharing" and "ICS" under the networking forum.
