So I moved to a new condo and part of my new routine and life style changes is to not watch cable television anymore. So I called Comcast for internet service, and they tell me it is cheaper to get their internet if I sign up for cable TV... if I just want internet its $20 more.
Are the other alternatives to Comcast cheaper than say ~$50 a month,... dsl and whatnot.

Talk to your neighbor and split the cost of internet over a wireless connection?
 
DSL is your only other option unless you're fortunate enough to be in an area with FiOS availability.
