Internet Service in Queens NY

Moving out to Kew Gardens area of Queens.. Does anyone know of good internet service out there? Cheap?

Roadrunner vs. Earthlink vs. ???

I think DSL is out of the picture (despite 14.95/mo deal now) because I don't have a regular phone line...

Earthlink is a lot cheaper if you're not also a Time Warner Cable TV customer, but if you are they have packages that might actually make Road Runner cheaper.

There's also 8Mbps down Road Runner which is $65 a month. I think Kew Gardens is Time Warner Cable's territory, but if you're really lucky you might be in Cablevision territory and get Optimum...

you don't need a regular phone line for DSL anymore. They passed a new law about that a few months back. I used to live in Astoria and had Verizon Online DSL for $29.99 per month and it was pretty fast.
