Renetworking my new house and I believe this is where AT&T spliced our internet. The Cat5 using browns (DSL) is from outside and the blues are heading to my master bedroom where the modem is connected.

So I'm thinking I can connect an RJ11 to the Cat5 using browns as the inner pair (not sure what colors to use as the outer pair) and then just bring my modem right here plug the Cat5 with now RJ11 into the modem and have the rest of my house through RJ45 in the modem ethernet ports. Can anyone confirm? Also, which outside pair of wire should I run for the RJ11? Blues?

Sorry if that's a lot to take in. Hoping someone can say YEP! I'm literally one wire away from finishing. Just don't want to disconnect internet and not get it back lol just seems too simple wanting to double check 😅

I hate the way att messes up people's wiring for those 1970s splices.

I think the answer to your question is kinda? Because I don't know if I understood you completely.

You can bring the modem downstairs and plug it into the modem to get Internet--that part should work.

As far as the rest of the house, I don't know because I don't know exactly what the rest of the wiring looks like. Typically all your ethernet jacks in your house goes to a single place where a panel would be which you could individually connect to your router. I don't know if that's what you have or not.
