internet related freezing

i have a dual p3 server machine which somehow freezes while browsing the internet. i suspect that it is something related to the ethernet card (3c905b) but i don't know how to confirm my suspicion without pulling out all the other stuff (which i am not willing to do unless necessary). does anyone have ideas on how to narrow it down? keep in mind it only freezes with throughput from the ethernet card.

have you checked out how much support there is in win2k for the 905x series of 3com NICs? does win2k find it and install it's own native drivers? or are you running the latest 3com drivers?
