Internet randomly disconnect after a reformat.

Hi, I am having a problem with my internet after a reformat. I am currently using Window xp SP3 and Gigabytes DS3 V1 or V2. Anyway, I formatted my computer last night and installed sp3 and the latest lan driver from Gigabytes website for my motherboard. The problem is that my internet would disconnect and reconnect randomly, which can be very incovient. Any idea what could be the cause and how do I fix it?
 
any suggestion? I inserted a spare kingston nic card and disable my onboard card. The problem of random disconnect is still there. Could something have screwed up when I reinstall my os that could cause random disconnection?
