Internet Problem

Since getting cable internet I cant seem to stay connected to anything. And the applications dont even know they are disconnected until I try and use them. The two programs are windows messenger and mIRC and probably others. My OS is Windows XP. Cable interenet is coming through a lynksis router. thanks

Sounds like the modem keeps losing connectivity. Unplug it for a few minutes (five should be good). Then boot your machine a minute or two after plugging it back in.
