I'm reading these forums and my Internet starts scrolling like crazy, I'm on Time Warner RR and my Netgear RP 114 starts blinking like crazy.
Is someone trying to hack into my sight.
I bought the Router because my Credit card got hacked last month.
I wanted the firewall protection, I have E-trust also,, but I didn't load the software firewall protector for E-Trust yet.
Anyone else have this happen to them.
It went bezurk for over a minute, then stopped, or is someone trying to hack into Anands sight. I was in this forum when it happened.

hmmm im not quite sure i understand what you mean by "scrolling" but.... maybe you accidentally held down the space bar (that will scroll your screen down) or maybe the spacebar is going bad on your keyboard. also if you have a scroll wheel on your mouse maybe its going bad.

by the way it doesnt sound like hacking to me.

If it were a cracker (not hacker 😛), why would he scroll down your internet browser and not look at your files etc. 😀

Shut down your internet explorer, icq, or anything else that you think is connected to the internet. Then from a Dos window do netstat - A .. There should be nothing there. If there is then its prolly someone who is using a trogen or something...

What I meant by scrolling was the Internet page went from Top to Bottom and repeated itself over and over and the messages were going from 1 to 70 in a constant rate.
I never saw anything like it before.
As I said my Netgear Router was binking like mad.
