Internet on new computer is very slow

I just upgraded my computer to the following:

Intel i7 4770k Haswell
Asus Z87 Pro

I am using a direct LAN connection to my router, an ASUS RT-N66U. Same settings there that I used before. The internet is very slow. Just loading Anandtech took 5-6 seconds. The other computers on the network don't have this issue.

I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. I have all the latest drivers, my internet settings (LAN) seem standard/Auto. I rebooted my router.

I don't understand what could be wrong as I've never had this issue before. Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

What OS are you running? If it is Windows 7, make sure you don't have an incompletely configured Homegroup (my internet speeds are 1/6 of my rated speed at each new Win7 install, until I delete that Homegroup which causes everything to speed up to normal).

Some devices don't like having TCPv6 enabled. You can try disabling it on your adapter and see if the situation improves.
