Internet not working...

I just upgraded from Windows XP Home to Windows XP Pro on my laptop, and now my internet wont work on my laptop. I have tcp/ip enabled, all the same settings as this computer (both plugged into same hub), etc, but my laptop wont connect to the internet. I can even see this computer on the network, but my laptop wont get an IP address and wont connect to the internet. Wtf? What could be wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

was the OS a clean install or an upgrade?

are you getting orange/green lights? cable might be bad...

when you say "hub" is it really a router? check your router's config page to make sure your laptop's name is showing up on its table...also could be a firmware upgrade...

sorry best I could do based on what info u gave...

good luck

also i was thinking the following: bring up the network connections window, right click on your Local Area Connection, disable it and re-enable it...not sure if thats the same thing as the previous post but it's worth a try..
