Hi,
I have 2 computers, one has a modem, winXP, whenever i connect to the Internet THEN open the IE THEN try to open a web-site the computer hangs, the other computer has a modem, that works fine under Win98, has WinXP but the modem is not defined there (i didn't pay the effort to do it and don't want to 😀), anyway, it has also a network card, whenever i open winXP it hangs after a while, the whole network has DSL which is working on that computer, if i remove the card winXP works fine, Win98 works fine with or without the LAN card.
can u help me please, thanks.
another question please ... there's a computer that give me an access denied when i try to connect to it from outside (i mean access it to browse from a LAN), for example if i write \\TEST then enter it gives me this error, but if i type \\TEST\TESTFOLDER, i can access the folder and its contents, TESTFOLDER is a shared folder on this computer, so the problem is in the root share or something, cause everything shared is accessable provided that i write the full address (i think the problem is in the $IPC, right?).
