Internet just stopped working, NEED HELP!

I was on the internet talking to some friends on aim and my internet just stopped working. Tried resetting cable modem, turning it on off nothing worked. All the lights were on except the Online and Activity lights, I have a motorolla surfboard modem. I called charter to get some tech support and we were on the phone for about 30 minutes trying to figure out a solution. Still wouldn't load the internet up, so they said that it is possibly my network card. Whenever I unplug my ethernet cord from my computer it detects it isn't hooked up, but when I plug it in and go to network places it sees that it is enabled. It was working fine and then just stopped. I have a microsoft wireless router hooked up to my desktop giving off wireless internet to my laptop. Wireless isn't working anymore, had to plug it up directly to my cable modem. Here is my setup. I'm using onboard lan through my asus p4p800, and I don't really feel like sending it back,so do you guys have any ideas? Thanks

Does your wirless work when you plug it straight into the modem?

Aight got it to work again. I unplugged everything, turned off wireless router and modem and turned off computer. Let them set for a couple minutes and restarted my computer, what do you think would make it do this? Worked fine and then just conked out. Also when I press internet exploer alittle box comes up and says connect or work offline, how do I get this to not come up? Thanks
