internet issues with new DSL

im having internet problems with my new DSL. i cant get on to some websites. AIM, games are working fine while online, but browsing the internet is really slow. then theres some sites that wont connect, hotmial, espn, gmail.

any ideas?
 
the router that im using is an actiontec one that the dsl company gave me. i was testing out both firefox and IE but both didnt work. my firewall is the default windows xp one. os is windows xp pro

also, the 2 other pc's that are on the network dont have this problem, they can surf the net fine. its just my pc for some reason =(
 
DNS servers correct ...?

Make sure your not using the same internal IP as another computer.
