Internet is working, web browsing is not

Hi guys, I've got a strange web-surfing/networking problem:

I have 3 computers. One is hooked up directly to an adsl router and works fine. The other two are connected through WLAN, which is not working properly. The signal strength is at, or near maximum and I'm getting stable download speeds of up to
170 Kb/s on my 1 mbit ADSL.

However, regardless of web browser being used I get the same problem: Most web pages take ages to appear on the screen though they seem to be fully loaded within seconds. (Eg. all bars turn green at the bottom of the window with IE) Some web pages appear at almost normal speed, some turn out inclomplete after a while and yet others fail to appear at all.

Viruses/Spyware should be out of the question as one of the troubled PC's was assembled just a few days ago.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your reply!

Domain name resolution problem, maybe? See if the router has spots for static DNS addresses, and plug in one or two known good numbers (for instance, the ones provided by the ISP).

There appears to be a major DNS problem nationwide, lots of complaints from Verizon DSL and Comcast users.

Yep, my college got hit with these problems today. Some students could go places, others could not. Last night at work, one of the two machines in a room could not browse the web, but could ping other computers on the network.

Fishy!
