How do you go about grading the value of your internet?
How do you telll how fast your internet is?
Would a better modem give you faster speeds?

Just a few questions. Looking for someone to go farther into detail on things such as that. Trying to see how well I could play FFXIV. How to go about maybe upgrading some hardware parts of my internet connection, etcc.

First, visit http://www.speedtest.net/ which gives a rough idea of how fast your internet connection is.

To speed up (hardware side) you'd probably need to change provider/plan. This is assuming you're using ADSL/broadband etc. But even then there are limits based on your location and services. If you give a bit more info, I'm sure others can help more.

I doubt there's much that you can do to upgrade your own hardware. If you're using wireless in your house, and it's an old one (pre -n or -g (?) then you could upgrade that but I don't know how much on an effect it will have.
