Internet going out when playing games

The last 3 times i've played Counter Strike, my internet has went out like after 30+ mins of play. Could be coincidence, but it seems kinda weird since i play it at random times, and random servers. My internet usually comes back within 10 minutes though. Just coincidence?

What type of internet connection do you have? Are you using a router or firewall? If so check your config settings to included any limits on internet activity/data.

Mine used to go out but only with certain games. It also goes out if the system has been left alone for more than an hour or so. It comes right back after a few minutes though, or after a restart. One way I found to keep the net working 24/7 is to leave a browser open to a site which refreshes automatically, like a weather radar map etc. As long as there is some activity it stays working, such as a bit-torrent download, etc. I assume it is due to my firewall or router.
