Is there a way to change the way ie shows your favorites in one column to mutliple columns like netscape 4.x ... I'm getting tried of Netscape 4.x crashing every day, but I can't see me using ie until I can get my favorites to show up as multiple columns.

I use IE. What I do is Sort by name and put something in front of the most important stuff to make it show up on top, for instance:

1 Video card

And, of course, I have folders and subfolders.

I've got to admit, my Favorites are pretty unweildy - so many, so long! When I reinstalled Win2000 last week, I'd backed up my Favorites folder and restored it. It keeps getting bigger. Have to spend some time pruning it down. Like I say, I keep the front burner stuff on top. One thing I find annoying is that I have to continually hit the Sort by name option to get things properly sorted - every time I add a top level folder or item in Favorites. That's a pain.

As an alternative to IE I use a small browser called Flash Peak Slim Browser, that allows you to set up groups for favorites, even so far as opening the group all at once. Maybe this browser could help you out. Jest a suggestion :)

I have tried firebird it also doesn't have bookmarks setup in multiple columns, it's similar to netscape 6.0
