Internet Explorer should place it's Temp files in my ramdrive, but it STILL uses the hard drive, wth?

I use ramdrive xp, and have a 10 meg ramdrive. The whole drive is dedicated to Internet Explorer's temporary files, which has been set in the options. Anyways, i found that IE is still storing images and temp things on the hard drive. Why would it do this?
