When I first start my computer and go to start internet explorer, I go and type a website say google.com into the toolbar.

Then I press enter. The thing is NOTHING happens. I have to wait about 2 minutes and then SUDDENLY the page changes. After that there's no problem at all with the browser.

Any ideas?

Your browser is lazy and decides to slack off. You really cant do anything about it, can you?

The description you give is too general. Please be specific and give more details.

It's a simple test to see if it's really an IE problem, or some other net issue you have. So, I would download and install Firefox. BTW, I'm not one of those "Don't use IE...get Firefox!" people. It just makes sense to try a different browser to see if you have the same behavior. So, get Firefox:

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

and see if you have the same issues and report back.

A couple other possibilities, you may have malware on your system or you need to clean-up your temp files. If you post a hijackthis log, we can check your system for malware. As a start, download and install ccleaner and see if that helps at all.

How can the description be too general? That's EXACTLY what happens...

Also I'll look into hijackthis, and i've run spyware doctor a lot, but I'm going to try this cccleaner.

Spyware Doctor is a fine program, but far from all inclusive....I guarantee it will miss something.
