Internet Explorer problem

It has to do with certain images not loading when I load up a webpage. Instead it shows the dreaded red "X" until I either refresh or I click "Show image". It (usually?) only happens if the picture is displayed multiple times.

Does anyone know of a fix for this, or what causes it?

I do have a Linksys 4 port router.
