Can anyone offer a suggestion how to get IE 6 sp1 (and it happens on any previous revisions ive run too) to keep its window placement/settings. each time i opene a new window, it does not have status bar, does not have the toobars in the layout i left them, and it does not have the windows in the maxamized position, i have to manually set on each window which is such a pain in the butt, please lemme know if u have a suggestion (aside from switching browsers).
What makes it all even more annoying, is that the way the windows end up placed, it looks as if the window is ALMOST maxamized, and if u attempt to close the winow by clicking on the top right button, u often end up clicking on the 1mm of the window behind yours that you are attempting to close.
This has happened on 3 of my home PCs, and 1 that I use at work.
I have obviously searched support.microsoft.com ... to little avail...
ONLY suggestion that I have seen is to hold the CTRL key when I close IE, and then reopen it, does nothing seemingly.
As far as switching to other browsers goes, lets leave it at, I have tried plenty, for the sake of the problem, lets
