Internet Explorer locking up - FIXED

Greetings,
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this but here it goes. My internet exporer is locking up when looking for cookies (I believe that is what its looking for). I was unable to pull up Paypal until I cleared my cookies and now I can enter. But I cannot log in, it just hangs up again. I can access on my other system so it is isolated to this system. I cleared all of my cookies and temp files and it still hangs up. It also happens on my banking site at the login. Please help!

What OS? I know there has been a lot of people with this issue that are running XP.

Loading IE6 seems to have solved the problem. Don't know why but it did.
