Internet Explorer in Mandrake?

Though I much prefer firefox for my regular browsing, there are a few sites I use which only work on internet explorer. I used Mandrake a couple years ago and I'd like to go back but I need some advice on how to be able to access these sites. The various options which strike me are:

1) Emulating Windows and running IE from there
2) Emulating a Mac and using the mac version of IE (possible?)
3) Running IE through Wine
4) An unofficial IE to linux port?

To be honest, my knowledge of linux leaves something to be desired so, along with ease and speed of use, ease of setup is a consideration. I suppose I could dual boot but it's a huge pain to have to reboot every time I need to use IE. I'd appreciate any comments as to which solution would work best!

You can run IE thru wine.

I tried for a while to install it from the binary download from microsoft.com, but I couldn't get that to work.

Best bet is to run it from a windows installation or copy the executable over and try that.

look here

Although I only did it to amuse myself, so since it didn't work with a hour or so of messing around I just gave up. I don't care that much about it.

I eventually decided that any website that is too stupid to make sure that it works properly probably by sticking to standards isn't worth my time wasting on it.

Based on the comments on installing IE6 through Wine, it seems like people aren't having very much luck with it...

Since most of the people seem to be having install issues, is there a way around it if I leave an XP partition on another hard drive and somehow run the iexplore.exe from Mandrake?
