Internet Explorer History

For quite sometime now, my History on IE doesn't work. I have IE7 under XP Pro, all updated to latest. This problem started with IE 6 & still continues with 7.

Would anybody have any idea what to do to make it work again?

Possibly silly question, have you gone in and told IE to clear your history? This should reset the index file which may have gotten corrupted...

Oh Yes, I have done that & never worked. I tried SFC & nothing, also tried XTeq which has some special way of doing something similar to it & it worked for a while but then it stopped working again.

I have done searches on the Internet about it & nothing. I have even thought about doing a FRESH reinstall of XP but that would so time consuming that I have decided against, hence the reason for asking here.

Hmm.. One more idea. Try moving your temporary internet files cache to another location (it will probably require a reboot) and then move it back.

Well, FWIW, just before doing what U said, I did a complete clean from the Internet Options window & then did as U said & THANKS it is working

It never ocurred to me to move the folder, I learned something today.
I just hope that it last forever, I guess I'll find out. But it doesn't matter since I know how to fix it now.
