Internet Explorer Favorites Icons

In your Favorites on IE, you will get icons for some of the websites: ie: Y for Yahoo, big E for espn.com, etc...

Why do they disappear over time? The generic icons suck.
 
You deleted your temporary internet files. Delete the favorite and re-add it.

This has been asked a few times before.
