I think this happened to me in November of 2003 and I posted here but I can't find the thread in Archived threads. I guess they toss them after a couple of years??

I'm using IE 6 on Win2000 system. A couple of my browser windows look "normal" but any new ones I open have no address bar, no favorites, no menu at all (!), and my task bar doesn't appear with them either (I never hide my task bar). What could be going on? Thanks in advance.

PS I do have Google Toolbar installed, but I can't imagine why that would be implicated in the problem. I've done nothing unusual in my session that would account for this, for instance any reconfiguring of IE.

How about clicking on "View," then "Toolbars" and then make sure "Address Bar" and "Standard Buttons" are checked. :p

Hmm, ftw means what?

Well, F11 was it, I guess I hit it accidently and was thrown for a loop. What's the idea with that? Instant screen real estate? It had me pretty darn confused. No menu, no nothing...

Thanks....

Hmm. I'm not familiar with the term. Never heard it conversationally or seen it in print, AFAIK. Thanks.

The derivative FTN works too.... For The Nguyen (pronounced the same).

it's for use like kiosk displays where they only want you browsing the site and not using the computer for anything else (works on n00bs mostly).

not that i'm calling you a noob. you know. it's for people who aren't aware of, like people who don't know. i mean, it's so

oh hey, superman!
