Internet Explorer Basic Question: Settings

A member of my family who should remain nameless was banging on my keyboard while watching Barney. Ever since when I open Outlook or Explorer or Calendar (Outlook) the screen size covers the task bar at the bottom of the page. I tried minimizing each of these windows and then enlarging them and then closing. When I reopen the application, the screen size is where I want it. However, when I shut down the PC and reboot, teh screen size is way to big again and cover sthe task bar. What should I change?

Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start Menu

Is always on top checked?

Not positive this is a fix for your problem but worth a look
