Internet Explorer 6 too slow Windows XP Pro

I'm having a problem with IE 6 in Windows XP Pro. It's very slow downloading webpages especially when checking HOTMAIL, taking about 2-3 minutes to long a page, sometime longer. Have anyone eXPerience this problem before? if so, please post how to fix this up. But when I checking email with MSN Explorer, there is no problem. Same with any webpage. Is there a virus or bugs? thanks

it's slow for me most of the time also

I tried to reactivate my 4 year old account and Hotmail say's its having "internal errors"
I can't see hw it could be a probelm with the browser anyway.

I tried Netscape 6 and it's faster. Maybe the solution.

Opera 6. Best browser there is.
