Hi, I have internet explore 6 and I have a question about the top bar on the browser. I just changed from Comcast internet to Wideopenwest and Comcast had software on my computer previously that changed what the bar said. It's the blue bar at the very top of the browser. For example it says right now "Posting a message - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Comcast". Now I don't want it to say "provided by Comcast". Which file do I edit to change this?
 
this is at your own risk.

File Run Regedit and make sure you are at the very top of mycomputer and Edit Find and put in "provided by Comcast" and it will find the occurances. You may find one for Outlook express ect... and replace it with what you want, press F3 to find other occurances and so on, exit regedit, reboot and that's it.
