Internet drops ever since i moved PC.

I have a Speedstream ethernet modem and ever since I moved my PC across the room It has been dropping connection to the DSL at random times. It's not my service provider, I think it has something to do with the cables, but it was perfectly fine before i moved everything. Sometimes it will stay on for hours, and sometimes it goes out every ten minutes. Help would be very appreciated.

do you have any large kinks or broken clips on your rj45 ends? any spare cables to swap out and test?

I just unplugged and reseated everything and used a new USB cable for my internet connection because my ethernet cable doesnt work for some damn reason, the ethernet cable will work fine with an xbox 360 but not my PC, probably the port or something, but that isn't my problem. I'll report back if my internet continues to drop out.

EDIT: It still does it but a little less often so far, in that 1hr and 30m it usually would have disconnected 3-4 times.

I think i fixed my problem, all i did was pop in the alltel disk that came with my modem, and reinstalled everything and my internet hasn't dropped since.
