Evidently this tower has more to do with land based internet than cell service. Cox has been out since the tornado but our cell works fine.
We found instructions on how on some routers you can use the USB storage port along with a tethered cell phone to provide back up service but could not figure this out with our particular models. My buddy has a Nighthawk and I have a Tp-link AX21, both have USB but I could only find cell hookup instructions for the Asus. Is such a hookup possible on our routers?
We have this solved a different way, for now. DeX for the win! The DeX Station has a network port so we enabled sharing over network and plugged a ethernet cable from the DeX to the WAN port of the router, works great!
