Internet connectivity issues/mobo issue?

Hey all,

I just built a new gaming rig for myself and I finished installing everything got the OS loaded and realized I couldn't connect to the internet. I tried installing a wireless card to no avail, I had to load the drivers via usb cause I didn't have the cd; then I moved my pc and plugged in an Ethernet cable in the back from my router and still no internet.

I don't understand why I can't connect to the internet. When I bring up the Network and Connections center it says I have no network adapter. I appreciate your assistance. Thanks
