Internet connectivity issues in Xubuntu 7.10

I've used Xubuntu for . . . almost a year now on my X2 machine, though I must admit that I am still quite a n00b when it comes to Linux matters. Anyway, I've got it running the way I want it except that about a week or two ago, I became unable get past my router (WRT54G). Can't ping past it or anything. I can hit any computer on the local network, but that's it. Filesharing between the Linux box and Windows clients via Samba is still working too. I didn't change anything that I could tell would introduce problems, but my guess is something went wrong with my overclock which was a tad unstable since Xubuntu has been overly generous about booting properly and even running apps properly with a borderline overclock.

Anyway, I'm not sure how to fix it. All my network settings seem to be in order, and when I booted to XP natively (dual boot) all my networking stuff functions properly, just like it used to under Xubuntu 7.04 and 7.10.

Any suggestions short of wiping/reinstalling Xubuntu?

Pretty sure. I've had the same issues using DHCP as well which should negate the issue of default gateway setup.

There are some odd errors I get when I shut down Linux as well which, if I can record them or find the proper logs, I'll paste here later.

Okay, I'll do that when I have the chance. Having multiple system failures to deal with right now grr.
