Internet Connection Sharing

I have setup a home network using a D-link hub and 100baseT ethernet card for the main computer. When I try to setup Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) the main computer, and the clients (NEC laptop and Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop) cannot access the internet.

My ISP happens to be behind a firewall and uses a proxy server. IP addresses are issued automatically (10.13.x.x) for the main computer. It uses DHCP for WINS resolution.

When I install ICS dial-in is OK but then I get a message that the proxy server cannot be found. I have found that I can ping the proxyserver by IP address but not by name. I have disconnected the clients from the network while I am fixing teh trouble shooting this but no joy so far.

The MS knowledge base references Network Address Translation errors caused by IP address class conflicts but I do not understand networks enough to really comprehend them.

I would appreciate any ideas from anyone on this subject.
