Hey
I'm sharing the net on another one of my computers.
Currently I am using an old version of Wingate, it works great for HTTP But I'm having trouble with mail on the second computer. I can recieve mail (Outlook Express) through POP3 but can't send out mail ! I think all the ports etc are setup right on both machines ? I tried out XP's Internet Connection sharing, but couldn't get it to work very well, do you guys think I should focus on making Int. Conn. Shar. the software I use to share the connection, or stick w/ the old version of Wingate ??

I have XP on my main box, and Win2k on the secondary box, if you have an ideas or comments please throw them out here !
Thanks !

You need to change the smtp server info for your mail to some wierd sequence like username#smtp.isp.com (or whatever your smtp server stuff is)for it to work with wingate, you have to have the # symbol in there. Check the documentation for it, they have it on their website, even for older versions. if you can't find it let me know by email, I have the instructions for like version 2 in a folder at work. Hope this helps.
