Internet Connection Sharing via Direct Cable Connection

Greetings.

A friend of mine with a cable modem was trying to get both of his computers onto the Internet via DCC. We managed to get both computers to successfully connect to each other and share files, but I think we fudged somewhere and now the client cannot find the host. I was wondering if there was a way to revert back to Step 1 and work it from there?

Now after getting all that done, how do we go about on getting the client computer to go onto the Internet? The host does fine at getting on, but we're having problems configuring it so that the client is able to get onto the Internet as well. I've read a few sites, but some of them are not clear about getting them both to share Internet Connection.

Thanks in advance!
