Internet connection sharing help

I have set up ICS (internet connection sharing) to use one NIC for the DSL access and one for the home network. The internet works fine but when you try to use the home network it tries to use the same network card as for the DSL and of course it then fails.

I have told it to use one for the internet and one for the home network but how does it know when to swap? Do you have to swap it manually somehow?

Any help appreciated.

Which OS? For win2k, ICS is enabled with a click of a checkbox. No need to do anything further. If you have two NICs that are identical, make sure you know which is which, and perhaps rename them, so you don't get confused.
 
when you install ICS on Win98SE, you should see an additional icon in the Connection tab in IE's Internet Control Panel, and that's where you can decide which NIC is to be used for the LAN, and which is for the Internet.
