Internet Connection Sharing does not work with Cox@Home?

I have Cox@Home cable, which works fine with the computer to which the cable modem is connected to a Dlink nic (dfe-530tx+). This works fine. I also have a 3com phoneline network, connecting two computers. Unfortunately, the internet connection sharing feature turned on makes it such that the cox@home connection does not work. So I have to turn off internet connection sharing.

I have dynamic ip addressing. I would like to try to use the internet connection sharing feature. Do I need to use static addressing to get this to work? If so, how would I do that and are there any disadvantages to using static addressing?

Thanks.

Your doing something wrong. Make sure you have the right nic set for the cable modem. Go to Tools, internet options and then connections and click on sharing and change your two network cards to the right ones. Do this in Internet Explorer.
