Posting this again since I didn't resolve the issue last time.

Got a lappy with OSX 10.5.8 and a different machine with WinXP SP 3

I am trying to set up a network with ICS. When I connect the cables the XP machine shows outgoing packets but nothing coming in.

If someone can let me know how to at least get a file transfer system going that would be great!

Thanks in advance AT members!

so you are trying to share your XP internet connection? sounds the opposite from the tone of your message.

ICS should be simpler than filesharing, OS X should get an IP via DHCP and just route through the XP machine. Can you verify that the OS X machine is getting an IP?

I am getting a connection from a wireless access point to my laptop with OS X which I would like to pass on to the main rig with WInXP sP3. I am not sure how to verify the IP on the OS X machine

Then it's the AP you need to configure properly, OS X is probably getting an IP from the AP just fine unless you've got it just doing bridging then OS X will be dealing with XP directly.
