Problem:
Sometimes webpages turn out to be html code, and pictures seem to have been corrupted, like only showing half of it. (most of times it appears correctly if I refresh the page)
I got some messages over msn that instead of showing what they were supposed to was giving me some garbled code. (Message sent to me was supposed to say: "Norge?" but I got: "=; CO=808000; CS=0; PF=42 Hvad m")
Sometimes I get crc errors in downloaded zip files (and others). Also when I tried to download the new NFS demo via torrent, my torrents got hash code errors.
When did it start:
I'm not sure exactly when it started, it didn't happen on my old computer, and I've only had this for a month. So it's something in my current setup, hardware or software.
Troubleshooting
I've run prime95 on both cores 4 hours (guess I need to do a longer test at some time) and got no errors.
It happens both in IE and FF, I have no download accelerators installed.
I have installed software for the nv firewall but set it to off. I use Zone Alarm as I did on my old setup, and run Antivir, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware and ran an full online scan from Kapersky.
I'm not used to using any firewall but ZA, so I wonder if I need to open some ports with the nv one, or if turning it off would negate any such problems.
Any kind of idea's would be helpfull.
