At random times, usually every like 5-6 hours (don't time it, not on enough), i will be browsing a website, and I get a "Failed to Connect" error in Firefox. It won't allowe me to view any such webpages at all. I have to do a restart to fix it. But I also use IRC at the same time and this never has a problem. It still allows me to chat while it won't allow me to browse webpages.

I've tried using IE when this happens and it still doesn't work so its not a Firefox problem

any ideas?

Yes. Try posting this in networking.

Yeah, you're probably getting packet loss from interference in the connection. Try changing channels on your router. Channels 1,4, and 9 tend to give the least interference because their bands are furthest away from other used frequencies.

Hm. It would be amazing if we had a forum specifically for hardware questions.

It'd be great if you gave the mods a break and posted it in the right section to begin with.

Wrong forum!

That said: a status message saying you have a connection to your router does not mean that your router has a connection to the internet.

PC <---> router <----> INTERNET :)

PC <---> router ~... :(

Wrong forum, moron. If you've been around for so long, you'd know that the mods don't appreciate it when people blatantly post in the wrong forum and they have to move the thread.
