internet connection problem

i have 2 computers connected to my router, this one works fine but the other one has a wierd problem that just started happening.

the internet connection will start going off and on, it will say Local Area Connection 2 the network cable is unplugged, then right away will say local area connection is now connected.
it keeps toggling and i have no idea how to fix it.

check to see if its the ethernet cable. this happened to me, but it was the port that was screwy. try that next.

i tried plugging it in differnt ports and the same result

the computer is connected through a wall-mounted reciever. one end goes to the computer and the other is an adapter that plugs to an outlet. and the other reciever is connected to an outlet and to the router.

I am gonna guess the outlet wire is screwed than try bringing the other computer in the same room and connect it without using the outlet.
