Internet connection dropping after printing

I have a Brother HL-5250DN, and using a TCP connection to the printer to print.

Every time I print something, my Internet connection drops for about a minute or so, and then it comes back.

Any idea what's going on?

I am using Vista64, but I think this is happening with my other computers, too.

Possible some sort of conflict with your internet settings nd the way your connecting to the printer.

Solved. The Brother printer's initial power surge has probably weakened something on my DSL router, so every time the printer draws electricity, the DSL connection gets dropped. Not an actual solution, but at least I know what's causing the problem.
