Internet and Printing Wirelessly ??

Okay, we're currently running a Linksys B router (upgrading soon, don't worry), wired to a desktop and wirelessly to MAC G4 Powerbook. In the past we tried to create a Windows/MAC network so we can print stuff from the MAC but it never worked. So we're looking for a simpler solution.

What would you recommend we purchase so that we can continue to share internet as described above and so that she can print from the laptop (wirelessly) and I can print from the desk top (wired)?

Thanks!

Is the printer connected to the desktop via a USB or parallel cable or is it hooked to the network just via Ethernet cable?

The printer is currently hooked up to the desktop via USB.

Anything can be changed, just looking for suggestions. If there is more than one way to do let me know.

I don't know which OS you are using, but I pulled the following steps from this site

On OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), you can access a printer that has been shared on a Windows computer. Just follow these steps:
Launch Print Center

Hold down the Option key while clicking the Add button (in the Printer List window)

Select Advanced from the first pop-up menu.

Pick "Windows Printer via SAMBA" in the "Device" pop-up menu.

Enter whatever you want in "Device Name"

Enter the URI in "Device URI". The syntax is: smb://Server Name/Share Name

Pick the printer vendor from the Printer Model pop-up menu, and the subsequent model.
You should be good to go! You may, however, also need to download printer drivers from Gimp-Print.
