I'm old enough to remember the days before the Internet when BBS was the place to spend an evening. Spending hours playing Legend of the Red Dragono (LORD) and Mafia Door on BBS were good times for sure. Even played lame stuff on the Comodore VIC 20 back in the day.

ahhh...the memories of BBS...ChrystalPalace is one that I used to dial into often here in Rochester.

Yeah, and it was just one big happy place to hang out. No flamewars going on, no depressing stories about breakups, just entertainment. If you wanted porn, you went to the store and purchased a magazine. Of course you never bought a porn mag by itself, you also had to buy some gum, a soda, and a couple of other useless items just so people wouldn't think you came to the store specifically to buy porn. haha
